Value Exchange

Anchor scripture: 2 Chronicles 9: 22-24

Introduction

Solomon didn’t become wealthy by luck or magic. His rise to wealth and influence was tied directly to the value he carried—wisdom, a divine gift from God. People from far and wide sought his counsel and brought gifts in exchange for his insights. This wasn't just about reputation—it was a system of value exchange at work.

We have everything that can be exchanged for the things we need.

We need to consciously look for ways for God to enhance the gifts/things we have. People will put value on you as a result of God’s influence on your life.

Solomon grew up in a palace, and that exposure likely influenced how he knew what to ask for when God gave him a blank cheque in prayer. He chose well. Wisdom. Not just knowledge, but God-given wisdom that became the foundation of his reign and prosperity.

Solomon developed himself, and the wisdom God deposited in him became the value that drew people to him. There’s wisdom we gain through education, experience, or exposure—but what sets divine wisdom apart is the backing of God Himself. It is this supernatural insight that positions you for favour, influence, and abundance.

We need to be intentional about allowing God to enhance the gifts He has placed in us. People will begin to recognise and place value on your life because of God’s influence on it.

Sometimes, it’s God’s mercy that allows us to go through pain, pressure, and stretching. These experiences help deepen our roots in Christ. When you walk closely with God and stay on His path, your life will flourish — not just spiritually, but also in terms of riches and well-being. You must remain grounded in Him and let Him guide you.

Value means different things to different people, but ultimately, value leads you to Impact, Influence, and Income.

Be raised with the right foundation so that your children will grow up knowing the value they carry.

First, recognise that you carry value. Identify what you have that is worth something, and then allow God to show you how to exchange that value for what you need. To discover what you truly carry, you must stay in the place of intimacy with God. Intimacy is key — not just to unlock value, but to maximise and sustain it.

When you draw from the true source — God — what you carry becomes irreplaceable. Others will not be able to replicate or take your place, and you'll understand that it was never about human favour or connections, but about what God gave you.

Value exchange isn’t always about money. It could be access, wisdom, or insight. Go back to God and ask Him to reveal what you carry. And when you find it, don’t hoard it — share it with the world, always anchoring it back to God’s kingdom.

Action Points

  • You carry value. Know it. Own it. Enjoy it. Profit from it. Grow wealth and influence with it.
  • Stay in intimacy with God — to discover, grow, and sustain your value. (Daniel is a great example.)

We don‘t cast pearls to swine. Value is relative. Ensure that we are in the right environment where value is appreciated and desired. If God is the one who gave you the value, stay with him so you can hone and understand it.

When going to visit a king, don’t go empty-handed.

Remember that it is ok to receive value, not just to give it.
